In a polluted future Venice researchers work to improve the situation. One day, unknown forces start killing them. A team of soldiers and a couple of civilians is sent to investigate. Soon, they encounter strange murderous creatures. 

Quite possibly one of the worst movies ever made, Bruno Mattei's SHOCKING DARK was originally released in Europe as a name-only sequel to TERMINATOR - despite having absolutely nothing to do with said film (which should tell you what kind of movie we're dealing with here), but having infinitely more to do with ALIENS. In fact, SHOCKING DARK is basically ALIENS with TERMINATOR tacked on to the ending - only made without any sort of budget or talent. It's sheer genius, through and through. Really, it is.
