School is out, and three girls head to the beach for vacation. Two of the girls are world-wise party-goers who attempt to loosen up their naive, virginal friend, whose uncle has allowed the girls to stay at his beach house. When the near-sighted, drug smuggling Captain Bly dumps his cargo of marijuana, the bales wash up on shore. The two party girls, Ginger and Ducky, quickly stuff the dope into giant bags and spirit it back to the beach house, where it fuels a party with assorted misfits, delivery persons, and passersby.

Director Bud Townsend, working from a cheerfully raucous script by Phil Groves and Patrick Sheane Duncan, delivers a dynamic, unpretentious, and blithely carefree celebration of let it all hang out giddy mindless hedonism complete with oodles of lovely ladies in skimpy clothes (keep your eyes peeled for both Corinne Bohrer and Catherine Mary Stewart in cool bit parts), a kickin' soft-rock soundtrack, a generous sprinkling of delicious bare distaff skin, cheap dope humor, two inevitable wild party set pieces, and an infectiously breezy'n'easy laid-back California vibe. The cast have a ball with the wacky material, with especially commendable turns by 60's AIP biker movie regular Adam Roarke as Sarah's amiable Uncle Carl, James Daughton as likable drifter dude Scott, Herbie Braha as killjoy coast guard Captain Blye, Mary Jo Catlett as shrewish neighbor Mrs. Brinker, Dan Barrows as her blundering middle-aged dork husband, Bert Rosario as a bumbling Mexican gardener, and George Cheung as karate-chopping Japanese chauffeur Wang. Michael D. Muphy's sunny cinematography gives the picture an attractive bright look. Michael Lloyd's groovy score hits the right-on funky spot, too. A real rowdy delight.
