Oh, lordy, lord...Take a deep breath, get the smelling salts, and strap yourself in 'cause this the is the world's first and only Jellyfish-Man Movie, and seeing it still ain't believing it!

With four of her sexy gal-pals, college-cutie Karen (VALERIA HAWKINS) spends mid-term vacation visiting her daddy, Dr. Richardson (JACK NAGLE), on an isolated island in the middle of the Florida Everglades. To celebrate, Dr. Hoyt (JOE MORRISON), daddy's hunky assistant, invites "some biology students" over for a good ole right-in-the-middle-of-the-swamp pool party. But wait, wait! Unbeknownst to all, a monster 9DOUG HOBART) has already jumped into the swimming pool! And not just any monster; this one is a half-man, half-Portuguese man-of-war! An though over a dozen college kids are partying at the edge of the pool, no one notices the jellyfish man because they're too damn busy dancing to the swinging sounds of "Special Singing Guest Star NEIL SEDAKA" (who's heard but not seen) and doing the dance craze that didn't sweep the nation: "The Jellyfish"! ("Wella, I'm saying fella, forget your Cinderella and do the jella, the jilla-jalla jellyfish!")

Then, just when you think it couldn't get any funnier, the monster takes the party to new level by attacking a couple with his Sting of Death and starting a riot. And when most of the students try to get away on a yacht, the monster makes the yacht sink and an army of little tiny plastic baggies (which are supposed to be jellyfish) kill everyone! But why, you might ask, is the monster on a murder spree? ' Cause he's in love! Really. Yes, one of daddy's other assistants is madly in love with Miss Karen so he dives down to his secret lab in an underwater cave and transforms into the jellyfish man, figuring if he kills everyone in sight, the Karen might love him. Or something like that. And with his giant bulbous head (that looks like a man trapped inside a plastic garbage bag), the jellyfish man may very well be the single most hilarious-looking movie monster yet committed to film...

An instant kitsch classick, and the third feature directed by Florida exploitation expert WILLIAM GREFE, Sting of Death contrasts its candy colors, cheerful atmosphere, and insipid characters with a hilariously high body count in which practically everyone in the cast is killed.

Theatrically released on an insane double bill with Grefe's Death Curse of Tartu made the following year, watch Sting and you'll agree with Miss Karen:"All this is awful! What on earth can be happening? Horrible, horrible things are reeling through my mind! It's like a nightmare!"

In other words, it's wonderful, great, dumb, goofy, monster-movie fun.
